Tax Tip Minute – Charitable Donations
John McGehee with McGehee Davis Associates provides this Tax Tip minute! Don’t itemize? But you still gave to charity? Did you know you can still get a deduction? There is a $300 deduction allowed for charitable contributions on the front page of the FORM 1040 and in 2021 for married couples filing joint it is increased to $600. And you don’t even have to itemize to be eligible but you do have to remember to remind your tax preparer.
